BACKDRAFT Guitarist Quits
December 24, 2008Guitarist David "Snejken" Nordlander has left the Swedish "classic rock" band BACKDRAFT. He explained in a statement, "It doesn't come natural to me any more. Through the years I've given everything, but lately I've lost the devotion and my heart is just not there anymore. Therefore I've made the decision to leave the band. I wish the rest of the boys best of luck and success in the future. Finally I like to say THANK YOU to all the fans and other people out there for your support throughout the years. You made it possible to live the dream."
The remaining members of the band commented: "We wish Snejken the best of luck and we are sad to lose one of the best guitar players in the world. It will be hard for us to find a new guitar player, but not impossible."
BACKDRAFT is currently working on material for a new studio album, due in 2009.
The band's second CD, "The Second Coming", was released in August 2007 via GMR Music.
